Sunrise at the Grand Canyon

We got up early because we read that Sunrise over the Canyon is a must do. We drove to the Yavapai Geology Museum parking lot and walked the South Rim. We found a few spots on our hike the day before,  but couldn't seem to remember them that morning.  So we just walked until the sun started lighting up the Canyon.

Oh, Curtis saw this little guy hanging out on the ledge on our hike yesterday. I forgot to post it. He's too cute to not post.

We also saw a bunch of elk crossing the road on our way to South Kaibab Trailhead.

A few more pictures from our hike. This shows the Rim Trail. It is paved and accessible for a large portion.  Several people were running the Trail.

We also stopped at the Desert View Watchtower on our way out of the park.
