Colorado Road Trip 2020
2020 has been an unusual and strange year. The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic that began when we made our Grand Canyon trip is still unresolved. There is a lot of racial unrest and rioting that has gripped the country. Some people might think we're crazy to hit the road. But our oldest son, Marc, and fiancée, Kathryn, moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. As a mama, I want...no...I need to see where he is living and make sure he is ok. We are stopping in Kansas to check on my parents along our travels. Yes, we will be careful and practice social distancing as much as my mom will allow.
We left later than expected last night. So we only made it to Corinth, Mississippi. We parked in the Super Walmart parking lot (after asking permission) to get a good night's sleep. Thank you, Walmart! It was a pretty quiet Walmart. I noticed at least two semis parked near us this morning.
It's 6 am and we are on the road. It looks like we will drive through Hurricane Laura as we traverse through Arkansas. Curtis just said the bus could use a good shower. Wish us luck!
