Fort Collins, Colorado

Yesterday was a long day. We got to see where Marc and Kat live. We got to love on the granddogs. Theo howled "hello" for several minutes demanding our attention!

Marc cooked us a great breakfast before we headed off to explore Fort Collins.  The first stop was Rotary Park.  Rotary Park is located on the Horsetooth Reservoir west of Fort Collins.  There are places to hike, bike and boulder...which Marc says he's done...which scares me. The reservoir is pretty large with many people enjoying the water skiing, tubing, and swimming.  It was pretty hot out. We climbed down to the water to play for a little bit to cool off.

Afterward, Marc and Kathryn took us downtown to check out a couple of breweries and see Old Town.  Old Town is a pretty neat area with plenty of bars, restaurants and unique shops.  Fort Collins is known for its many breweries, pubs and bars.  Colorado State University is located here and it is definitely a college town.  It is very bicycle friendly and there are many places to go bouldering.  Oh, it is also about an hour from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Tomorrow we are heading to Rocky Mountain National Park.  I can't wait!

Did I tell you we got to love on our granddogs.  Theo loves his grandpa.
