Explorer of the Seas, Royal Caribbean

I'm just going to post some pictures of the ship that we took while walking around.  Curtis found that Dizzy's bar on Deck 14 has good drinks.  I liked the fitness center.  There were plenty of treadmills, elliptical and a decent weight area.  There was also a large whirlpool in the center.  It provided a great view off the front of the ship.

Our stateroom was an interior with a virtual balcony...which is basically a TV screen where the real-time outside image was projected constantly.  It was pretty neat.  The bathroom was a small RV-like bathroom with a small circular shower...fine for me, not so much for Curtis.  It was also nice to have a channel on the TV which showed our gps position at all times, the current time/date which was handy because we gained a couple hours and lost a few during the cruise.  We didn't have our data on our phone turned on so our phone didn't update date/time.  The elevators had the day "Friday, Saturday..." on the rug when you stepped on to keep you informed of what day it is.  You kind of lose track especially if you stay busy.  Curtis and I actually got in trouble for trying to see our room before it was ready.  We were basically kicked out of the hall.  We ignored the signs that said not ready till 1 pm!  Starting off the cruise right!

As we left port on Friday night, Mount Rainier was out in full bloom!  We have been to Seattle before when it was too cloudy to see even her tip.  So it was a beautiful view to see a good portion of her!

Our favorite travel buddies:  John and Trish

After we ate lunch in Windjammer and walked around the ship, John and Curtis decided to stop at the Crown and Kettle to get some drinks.  Trish and I enjoyed people watching and ducked into the few shops they had.  There really wasn't much shopping which was good in my case.

A few more pictures that we took as we left the Seattle port.

Curtis took a picture of the bridge from the viewing platform.

We saw this aircraft carrier entering port while we were leaving.
